If there had been no railroad – or if it had steamed through a different part of Collin County – there would be no Wylie Texas.
Wylie’s story began during the “Golden Age” of railroading, an era that lasted from about the 1880s to the 1920s and changed the economic climate of the country.
Today, Wylie has becoming a thriving city with an adorable downtown district, growing suburbs and some great football.
I’ve captured the city on this adorable tote here
Its perfect for a quick trip to the Brookshire’s or to throw a few books or knitting needles and relax on the patio of Conversations Coffee. Or maybe your headed to the stadium for an awesome night of high school football, throw in some snacks, mittens, poncho, your tickets and anything else you might need for some Friday Night Lights.
